THE RED MANSION ART PRIZE 2016 - the shortlist is announced

The Red Mansion Art Prize 2016, The Red Mansion Foundation 
Alex Roberts is shortlisted (MAY 2016).

The Red Mansion Art Prize was established in 2002 to promote artistic exchange between China and the UK. Each year one student is selected from each of seven of the UK’s foremost art colleges: The Royal Academy Schools, The Royal College of Art, Chelsea College of Arts, Central Saint Martins, Slade School of Fine Art, Goldsmiths College, and the Ruskin School of Drawing & Fine Art.

During the summer of 2016, the talented winners of the Red Mansion Art Prize will travel to China for one month. They will be provided with studio space and the opportunity to live and work alongside local artists with flights, accommodation and a spending allowance provided for them.
An exhibition of the works produced by the students over this time will be held in Spring 2017.
This year’s panel of Judges is composed of:
Prof Paul Goodwin UAL Chair of Black Art and Design; Director of TrAIN (Centre of Transnational Art, Identity and Nation)
Jemima Stehli Artist
Rosza Farkas Director of Arcadia Missa Gallery
Ingrid Swenson Director of Peer Gallery
Nicolette Kwok Director of the Red Mansion Foundation
The winners will be announced in June 2016.
